Spanning 66 acres, Pullen Park is home to the fifth oldest amusement park in the United States, with a location right next to the North Carolina State University campus. Raleigh resident Richard Stanhope Pullen donated the land for the park.  Pullen Park was the first public park in North Carolina.

The Pullen Park Aquatic Center

Outdoor fun isn't all that you'll find at Pullen Park, which is also home to one of Raleigh's best indoor aquatic centers. The Pullen Park Aquatic Center features an Olympic-sized pool, where you can enjoy swimming competitions, get a great workout, or sign the kids up for swimming lessons.
