Are you ready to give back to neighbors in need and support the community you love this holiday season? Holiday meals are essential to the experience of the season, and our Turkeys for the Triangle program is focused on providing holiday meals for food-insecure people in the Triangle.

This year, you can help us feed more than 20,000 people in local communities during the holidays. The HPW Foundation partners with a variety of local non-profits, churches, and homeless shelters to distribute turkeys to those in need.

In the 18 years since our Turkeys for the Triangle initiative was founded, it has donated more than 38,000 turkeys and helped feed over 160,000 people for holiday meals. Funds are raised through the sale of $5 raffle tickets during the holiday season, with 100 percent of the proceeds going toward the purchase of turkeys.

Turkeys for the Triangle was established by Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston Founder and Chairman Don Walston, who said:

"It breaks my heart to know that there are families in our local communities who struggle to put food on the table, especially during the holidays when so many of us are celebrating with special meals. Turkeys for the Triangle is our answer to that sad reality; it is a way our company, our clients, and our kind neighbors can give to the greater good, to feed those in need."

How to Contribute to Turkeys for the Triangle

Throughout the holiday season, our HPW team will be selling $5 raffle tickets to support Turkeys for the Triangle. Are you ready to lend a helping hand, and help a community member create holiday memories this year?

Local Triangle Real Estate Veteran to Take Helm of

Top Local Real Estate Company

RALEIGH, N.C. – December 4, 2019 – Coldwell Banker Howard Perry and Walston (CBHPW),  the leading real estate firm in Central North Carolina, today announced the promotion of David Jones as Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. 

With over 30 years of experience at CBHPW, Jones has comprehensive knowledge of the real estate business.  Jones began his career with CBHPW in 1987 in the Accounting Department.  In 1989 he was named Controller and promoted in 1994 to Chief Financial Officer.  Since 2003 Jones has served CBHPW as President and Chief Operating Officer. 

"David is one of the most well-respected individuals by the brightest minds in the real estate industry, not only in our area but in the country.", said Don Walston, company founder and chairman.  "His years of leadership and experience not to just CBHPW but to the entire industry is invaluable as we continue to grow in the future."

Since gaining his real estate license in 2002 Jones has been an active leader in the real estate industry.  In 2004 Jones was asked to join the Triangle Multiple Listing Service (TMLS) Board of Directors to help shape the future of Triangle real estate, a position that he currently holds today.  Jones is also active in a number of industry leadership groups including Realty Alliance, Coldwell Banker Multiple Officer Broker Group, and the Vision Group. In 2017 the Triangle Business Journal honored Jones as a C-Suite award winner for his contributions to the Triangle Community.   

Originally from Marshallberg, North Carolina, Jones graduated from Wake Forest University in 1981 with a Bachelor of Science in Accounting.  He makes his home in Cary with his wife Shelli and dog Addie. Jones' three daughters have all graduated from local universities and have begun their professional careers. In his spare time, Jones competes in endurance sports including Ironman Triathlons and marathons.  Jones also serves on the HPW Foundation, which provides financial support to the company's agents' and employees' charitable giving and outreach efforts.

We are excited to announce that two of our leading Triangle realtor teams, The 360 Concept and 220 Agents, have reunited to join forces to create Dash Real Estate, becoming one of the largest real estate teams in the Triangle.

Dash Real Estate consists of more than 40 highly-skilled agents with a combined 675 transactions and $185 million in 2018 sales. The new team's goal is to continue their progress in making the time between selling/buying to closing as seamless as possible.  

Dash Real Estate brings a powerhouse of experience as the two teams were ranked internationally within Coldwell Banker in 2017.  The 360 Concept ranked 8^th and the 220 Agents at 17^th, this year both are expected to be within the top 10. The merger allows team members to leverage resources among industry experts and sales professionals with valuable insight and provide clients with continued personalized attention.

We are proud to announce the hire of Real Estate Broker Taylor Howington. A top-producing Realtor, Howington has joined our Fuquay-Varina Office to support her clients better.

With more than 30 agents and staff members in our Fuquay-Varina office, Howington was impressed with the close-knit setting and the sense of family she felt upon meeting the team. "I am excited to join the HPW Fuquay-Varina Office because I love the family dynamic in the office," said Howington. "I quickly felt like a part of the team and welcomed. I am also thankful to be with a firm that is supportive and is as excited as I am to grow towards the Sanford area."

One of her favorite parts of her jobs is meeting and getting to know people on a personal level. "I enjoy watching my clients light up when we have found their perfect home," said Howington. Born and raised in Sanford, North Carolina, Howington and her husband adore their close-knit community. "I have really enjoyed watching our small community grow and am excited to see where it can go," said Howington. "We are perfectly located close to Raleigh, Pinehurst, Fayetteville as well as the beach and the mountains."

Howington's favorite hobbies consist of traveling, crafting and playing with our fur-baby, Ryleigh." My husband and I are very blessed to have a close-knit group of family and friends that we enjoy spending our downtime with," said Howington.
