Happy Halloween!

Halloween is only a few days away, and this is the weekend to take part in fall fun and frightful delights!

No matter your preference for jolly jack-o-lanterns or spooky soirees, there are all types of haunts and jaunts taking place throughout the Triangle for you to enjoy. 

Take the little ones out to pick some pumpkins, sip on cider, and find the way through a tall corn maze and then grab a sitter and round up some fright-loving friends to get your ghostly ghoul on some area fear farms and haunted houses.

Want to wander through a giant cornfield? Naylor Family Farm is for you. Featuring a 10-acre corn maze, a farm animal petting zoo, gem mining, an inflatable jump pad and other kids attractions, your mini monsters, and silly ghosts will have great fun.

Halloween Hayrides

Clayton Community Park

$5 for children 12 and under; parents ride free with each paid child; children 2 and under are free

Gather up your superheroes, princesses, skeletons, and witches and take them on a Halloween hayride at the Clayton Community Park. With story stops along the way, your children will have fun as they ride through Halloween Land. Fun games, candy, and attractions will also delight.

The Town of Clayton will also host a Halloween Movie Night on Friday evening at dark. Grab some blankets, drinks, and munchies and watch Hocus Pocus under the stars at Clayton Town Square at 110 West Main Street.

Halloween Pumpkin Fest at Fearrington Village

Fearrington will be aglow with more than 80 intricately carved pumpkins tucked into the Village Center gardens. McIntyre's Books will host spooky story times at 6 p.m., 6:30 p.m. and 7 p.m. The pumpkin display will remain up through Halloween on Tuesday, Oct. 31.
